Gods of Riverdawn
Riverdawn has two main Gods who they respect and follow to the end, but there are also many smaller Gods who are said to help Riverdawn in times of need. The only reason why these smaller Gods aren't as recognized in Riverdawn as Zistos and Amriel, is because of their inability to communicate with alive dogs as Zistos and Amriel can. The only way these smaller Gods are known are the Lower Shamans individual connection to each of them.
Zistos, The God of Sun and Day

Zistos is the son of Ibtikar, and used to be only the God Happiness before he was given the task of Holding the Sun in the sky when his Father descended to Earth. Zistos' significant other is Amriel, and they have been together since the beginning of Night and Day
Amriel, The Goddess of Moon and Night

Amriel is the Daughter of Thana and used to be the Goddess of Forgiveness before she offered to help Zistos hold up the Moon at night.
Moonhowlers are descendants of her children who long ago chose to live on earth rather than in the Village of Light with the other Gods. Therefore, every time a Moonhowler dies, they join her upon her nightsky, each of them given an own star from Zistos to help their Mother light up the Sky.
Ibtikar, The God of Earth and Life

Ibtikar was the God of Earth and Life, and Father of Zistos. However, he felt sorry for the creatures of earth and their short miserable lives, so he chose to join himself with the Earth to give a part of his Immortality to each creature of Earth.
Thana'l'nur, The Goddess of Death

Thana is the Goddess of death, and Mother of Amriel. She takes dead souls to The After where their spirits will be at peace.
However, Thana saw how lonely Amriel was upon the dark night sky, so she offered to make an exception for all of her descendants on Earth, and promised that they would, instead of reincarnate, join Amriel as Stars.
Savbris, The God of Wind

Savbris is the God of Wind, and Son to the long lost Goddess of Mist. Legend says he flies wherever the wind goes and sometimes messes up with Yarmnu, creating huge sandstorms. Sabris is seen as uptite, a jokester and unafraid.
Nukphin, The God of Wayfinding (North Star)

Nukphin was the firstborn of Amriel, and the only of her children who chose not to live on Earth. Nukphin was then given the brightest star that Zistos created to remind everyone of her loyalty and love. That is why Nukphin is seen as the purest and most loyal God of all.
Jefeerah, The God of the River

Jefeerah is the God of the River, and the Oldest God, except Ibtikar, who is remembered by Riverdawn Pack. He is seen to supply those who are kind with pools of water(oasis), those who are selfless with rain and those who are pure with Rivers. Jefeerah is generous, but he is cold as ice and has feelings whatsoever. He only judges after the actions and intentions of others.
Shemar'i, The God of Family and Care

Shemari is the God of Family and Care, and is said to be the one who brings abandoned pups to Riverdawn to those who cannot have of their own. He is seen as fun, kindhearted and empathic and is said to watch over Riverdawn so they stay the same. According to legend, he had a special bond to an Ancient Shaman which is why Riverdawn is seen as a family and does not have anything against inbreed families but does not look up upon joiners from outside.
Yarmnu, The Goddess of the Desert

Yarmnu is the second oldest child of Amriel and Zistos, and one of those who chose to leave the Sky for the Earth. She is the only one, except for Nukphin, who was blessed with the powers of a God. Yarmnu is seen as infinite, tempered and unpredictable and isn't always the most loved Goddess. According to legends, she sometimes takes dog dwon in her sand only because she feels like it.
Saa'd, The God of Hunting

Saa'd is the God of Hunting and has great patience and respect. According to legend, he accompanies all Titans on their first hunt and grants them a gift of swiftness, patience and respectfulness to other creatures upon receiving their rank.
Emlesca, The Goddess of Truth

Emlesca is the Goddess of Truth, and Daughter of Jefeerah. Not many dogs know what she does, and not many are aware of her powers, but it is said that during trials she will make sure the Truth shows and justice is served.
Mes'ta, Unknown creature of Fire

Mes'ta is an unknown creature of Fire, who is said to destroy but also give new life to dead creatures. No one is exactly sure who she is related to but there are some who think she is a relative to Zistos and Ibtikar due to her powers surrounding life. Never before has a Lower Shaman had a special connection with Mes'ta, but legend says there one day will be one and that this dog will take a place as a God themselves.
